Development of Interactive Features for Italia’s Got Talent 2015 & 2016

As part of the Italia’s Got Talent 2015 & 2016 project, I developed advanced features for user interaction with the TV show, focusing primarily on implementing the voting system and enhancing user engagement through web and social media platforms.

Activities Performed

Implementation of the Online Voting System

• Developed an interactive voting platform, allowing users to cast their votes in real time for contestants.
• Integrated the system with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) to enable direct voting.
• Implemented secure voting management, using anti-fraud mechanisms to prevent duplicate or unauthorized votes.

User Engagement via Web and Social Media

• Developed interactive polls and live reactions, enhancing viewer engagement during the broadcast.

Back-End Integration and Database Management

• Built the system using Symfony2, leveraging Doctrine for data management.
• Processed and validated real-time votes, ensuring a scalable system capable of handling high traffic peaks during live broadcasts.
• Exposed JSON APIs to facilitate data communication between the web platform and TV broadcast systems.
