Virtual Planetarium

Spatial Planetorium

“Spatial Planetorium” is an interactive experience that simulates a planetarium suspended in deep space, designed to offer a guided tour of the solar system within an immersive digital environment. The visitor finds themselves inside a large transparent dome, floating in the void, from which they can observe all the planets orbiting the sun.

I managed the complete development of the simulation, from designing the 3D environment to integrating narrative and interactive elements. The project was built on a rapidly evolving platform using only Blender to craft the experience, overcoming technical limitations to ensure stability and immersion.

Main Features

  • Immersive Environment: A panoramic dome designed to provide a symbolic, full-scale view of the solar system.

  • Automated Voice Guide: A virtual avatar leads users through a scientific narration, sharing facts and curiosities about each planet.

  • Orbital Tour: Planets are arranged along a path that allows a seamless, coherent visit, simulating their orbital movement.

  • Educational Experience: Accessible and informative design, adaptable for schools, outreach, or casual exploration.

Challenges Overcome
I engineered the simulation to withstand future platform updates while maintaining a smooth, stable experience compatible with as many devices as possible.

Project Objective
“Spatial Planetorium” is an experimental project that combines technology, scientific outreach, and interactive design. It’s an environment crafted to amaze, inform, and inspire, offering a new way to learn through immersive exploration.
